You know, my elegance that I took a risk on getting at the Jan Middle TN frag swap is not only still alive but looks fabulous. I bought it from the guy with all the great magnetic frag rack things that you can stick on the side of the tank- I've got a card somewhere). I know they usually die easily and I've probably now jinxed it and it will die next week, but it really is lovely.

It's supposed to be a purple tip australian, but I can't really see the purple tips. It's gotten larger and looks very happy. Just wanted everybody to know that SOMETHING else is looking good in my tank.

So, even though I can't keep clams alive or powder blue tangs, some things are happy and grow well in my tank (especially the stupid little starfish- they are VERY happy....)

Now that you mention it all the tanks Ive seen with elegance corals looking good are just like yours! I will leave it at that! LOL! :xd:

From what I understand the Aussie Elegances have a very good survival rate.

yeah I apparently can't keep a starfish alive. I just lost my second one, they last for months then start disintegrating. what ever they need my tank doesn't have!

Are you talking about the blue ones that have the longish legs? I could never keep those alive either. you don't want the chocolate chip ones. They will eat your mushrooms like my little bandit stars that I have now.

I always had the same problem jim, linkias seem to need something that alot of tanks are missing. I had a blue one I got from david that lived along time, but most of the ones I would buy would only live a few months and then start shrinking up

Mlove, you just don't know my photography skills or my posting picture skills. I had the meeting at my place a couple of months ago and most of the club saw it. Sorry, I know pictures would be better..... You could come and look at my tank sometime (as I'm sucking out all the stupid tiny starfish with a small tube)
