My experience dealing with Kessil

I recently upgraded the lighting on my 72 bow front. I picked up a pair of Kessil A360WE, gooseneck mounts, and the controller. Everything from Kessil was top notch in construction. The lights looked amazing and the shimmer is glorious. However, I noticed a strange thing. One fixture shone a little more green than the other. No matter how I hooked them up, linked, independently, or what-have-you one particular fixture had a green tint to the lighting. After spending $800 on lighting equipment, I wanted it to be perfect. I emailed Kessil about this and got a response the very next morning:

Thank you for your email.

Our LED array are not always identical due to it being handpicked, This sometime creates a slight difference in the results of the color.

We can guarantee that the slight differences will not affect your coral growths, but we do understand those aesthetics are important.
Can you provide the SN to both lights so we can verify the warranty?

So I did, and within 2 hours I received this response:

Thanks for the serial number. If you would like, we can send you a new light and you can match it to one of the lights you have and send us back the other light that is different. We will require a credit card to be placed on file to do this exchange,
Please see our process below:

I went through the process and gave them my credit card info. I asked how this would work and she said Kessil will send me 2 new A360WE fixtures. Of the 4 I'll have in my possession, I get to pick the two that match the best. They'll give me a paid for shipping label and I send the 2 back I don't want. After they receive the lights, they'll delete my credit card info. As long as I get them the 2 lights within 3 weeks there will be no charge for anything.

I can't tell you how amazing their customer service has been. Prompt, professional, and easy to deal with. Kudos.
 
I’m not personally a Kessil user but always nice to see people with good experiencesn I’ve been considering upgrading to the AP700 at some point, never used Kessil before though.
 
I had a similar experience in 2012 with a bad batch of 360s they swapped mine out with the new 360wes free of charge the same way. Kessil is very good as long as the light is in warranty and you have your purchase date. My 2 360wes that got replaced lasted a long time one died earlier this year and the other is still running. That is plenty life for me.
 
Thank you for this info! I have the same issue with one of my new lights and I'm glad there's a resolution! Too bad I dunked mine.... we'll see what they say to that haha.
 
Kessil has always been top knotch when it comes to customer service. They always answer calls and respond to emails and are happy to help :)
 
Kessil service is just awesome. I have asked them how to buy a screw that is needed to mount the lights. They asked for my address and simply sent me a couple for free. This is the kind of company we should all promote.
