My experience with Planetzoa.com

I try to shop local here in Houston. The Paly and Zoa options are good but I was looking for something different than what is now in the local market. I found a bunch of sites that carried Zoas that either had poor photos or were way out of my price range.

Then I found Planetzoa.com. The prices were really reasonable, the selection was very broad and they had excellent pics of their corals. With a firm budget, Palys that would work well in my lighting environment and specific colors in mind I popped a note off to Planet Zoa for recommendations. Travis sent me some great recommendations and I placed my order.

The box was shipped overnight and I received it today. The packaging was impressive. Each Paly was cleverly enclosed in its own plastic protective water filled bubble so they wouldn’t get damaged bouncing around in transit, then each of those was packaged in a sealed bag with water and clearly labeled and then all were packaged in another larger sealed bag of water. The bag of water was enclosed in a bubble wrap envelope with packing peanuts and a warming pack inside of a Styrofoam lined box. Wow - this was a first class ride for the Palys. With this sort of packaging, the Palys were in perfect condition.

I have ordered Palys and Zoas from other well-known internet based suppliers and have been disappointed in the size and maturity of their polyps. I was thrilled to see the polyps from Planet Zoa which were plump, well healed and mature on the frag plugs. After acclimating and dipping, the Palys started to open up right away in my tank.

I give Planet Zoa a score of 10 out of 10 and am delighted with what they sent me:

PZ Purple Fission palys

Purple Orchid Rainbow palys

PZ Permafrost palys

PZ Crystal Pink palys

Candle Apple Pink palys

PZ Hells Satans palys
