This product works however it's not perfect.
I have a large reef with two huge Zebra Moray Eels so emerald crabs were not an option. My system volume is about 550-600 gallons and I may have been able to do this with one bottle. I bought another just incase. I dosed the product aggressively (every 3 days) and it took about 4-5 weeks to see the bubble algae die off. My nitrates plummeted as expected. I combated this by over feeding and dosing Zeofood and Aminos. The bubble algae seemed to be the last to die. My cheato completely melted and had to be removed. Every other type of Algae seemed to have died off too. Weeks later I don't even have film algae on the glass. I have some weird spiderweb looking algae that comes off in chunks.
One major negative was a lot of my corolline algae dying and leaving huge white spots all over my tank. My nitrates stayed steady and I monitor my DKH regularly. I did see a decline in consumption towards the one month mark. Also, despite dosing phyto my pods died off. There's a few left and it's not a total loss but I would say 95% are gone. My tank seems to be cycling after the treatment; for the first time I have dynos in my sandbed, my nutrients are also spiking. For months I have had to dose Zeofood and aminos to keep my nitrates at 5 or more, now they're at least 80. My sponges all died as well. I had some really large pieces I had grown for awhile.
Things are slowly balancing back out though. The dynos are going away slowly and algae is starting to grow in my fuge again. I haven't seen any bubble algae returning so fingers crossed.
I will say I noticed better results when I cut the return pump off and let the product churn in my system for an hour or so.
I've also had corolline popping up everywhere I believe in large part to a product I was pretty skeptical over. I only used one bottle in my system despite their recommendations.
