My favorite bounce mushroom

While I have had many Bounce mushrooms over the years including OG, Godspawn, Sunkist, SR Crazy, Dragon Lady, and Neptune, my favorite is the Watermelon Sherbert Bounce.

Mine is a little hidden in the tank:

I love the iridescent pinkish bounces with the greenish skin and contrasting orange little dots.

I don't see this too much in the hobby anymore...I wonder why?

No real back story. Got it from another R2R reefer in NJ. I guess the story is we picked it up on the way back from a trip and my wife wasn't too pleased with the detour.

Looks alot like a bounce CB calls bubble yum! i came real close to winning a bid on one!

It looks nice! Bubbles are getting really big. It's definitely unique.

Looks like CB is selling these as Bubble Yum. Might be a better name.

I believe to me it looks like It's a variation of a interstellar bounce shroom.

They are very pretty shrooms and have many morphs.

Some come with the bubbles and little specs in all sorts of colors.

They can change color with different light spectrums as well.

This is most common variation.

Yours is much prettier haha

Based on Google image searching, I don't think the Interstellar Bounce is related...

Sorry about that, how about this...it is a discosoma variation. It really looks like they are in the same family of discosoma as the interstellar. Has all the same characteristics.

You have a very pretty one.

What I was saying is the interstellar is a variation that is in the disco family and can have the same characteristics as the shroom you posted.

CB Bubble Yum Bounce and Watermelon Sherbert Bounce are the only images that match...I bought mine from a fellow reefer as Watermelon Sherbert Bounce.

I don’t see how that could be!!! This is definitely one of the coolest ive seen fosho!! I moved from pa to socal and then from socal to stlouis mo and I’ve been reefing throughout all of it and honestly I don’t recall ever seeing one of these for sale at a shop / swap / or online . I’ve been keeping tanks for a long time now so my guess is this is just a rare piece to come across . Congrats on the find I’d say this is a keeper
