This was quick. I did look for it the AM but last night is was fine and eating. When I saw it dead I pulled it out and it looked very recent, the crabs had not even gotten to it. Look at the pic it has an area that looks a little unusual, almost a mottled appearance. The skin was not red, broken just a little lighter in color. I have added nothing in quite some time and my params have been rock solid. Any thoughts?

A common life span often quoted for firefish is about 3 years or so. But of course this depends on a lot of factors: collection techniques, age at collection, illnesses, etc.
