So I've been building up to this for about 2 months now. I custom built a stand that could honestly hold 5x what I need it too and DIY'd a sump while I was at it.

I got a 10g nano cube from Innovative Marine, plain glass with a smoky back. I drilled 2 half inch bulkheads and installed an overflow box I got from BRS.

The sump is a breeder I got for free from my LFS. Because every business around me seemed to of lost their glass cutting abilities at the same time, my baffles are made of 1/4 inch Lexan. Wasn't excited about using it, but this set up only needs to hold up till September.

Equipment wise I'm using a 50w Jager with an Inkbird controller. I have a 4 in IceCap fan mounted to keep humidity low in the cabinet. Later this week I'll be installing an AI Prime HD and a nano skimmer.

I am having a problem with gurlglin on the outflow, but I've got some spare RO tubing at work I can use to fix that.

Any tips or tricks would be super appreciated. I'll get a wet pic up once the silt settles.

Can you take a pic of the overflow setup, are the bulkheads on the bottom and a bean style setup?

I see now, it's always a good idea to have a emergency overflow, but atleast make sure the the return pump has a break in the nozzle if the water level drops that low on the return side.

As far as the gurgling not sure if you have enoughf room but I would create something similar to this, obviously scaled down version.

That is how I originally wanted to build it, sized down of course, but I'll admit it was a bit of a rush job.

Using a long piece of RO tubing I was able to silence the gurgling and can open the valve fully.

In all honesty I may break this tank down and rebuild it at my job to avoid aggravation with my landlady.
