My first 20 gallon reef tank

Good luck with it all! You're off to a brilliant start just remember quarantine everything and have patience with everything your reef throws at you.

Thank you, yes I learned the hard way in the beginning. I didnt quarantine and had ich break outs and pests. Now I quarantine every fish 6 weeks. Also i dip every coral in Rx before putting in my display.

Rear compartment with lid open. Sorry about the blue effect, in a rush.

Great looking tank! I'm new as well and have the 20g rimless JBJ can you show me how you load the compartment with filter floss. Im having an issue with that compartment with media and the turnover of water in the back.

You actually dont want to load it up, it is too much restriction. Find some media that you like, like bioballs or a bunch of small live rock and throw it in the 1st chamber. Fill it 3/4 full with whatever you choose. Then just a light layer of filter floss and change it every few days.
