My First Aquarium - Red Sea Max E170 (45gal)

Wow. The gold rims on the Nissan...whoo! The car looks really nice; it kind of reminds me of the Tesla Truck.

And the black Porsche is so sleek! You got taste!

I run a MP40 and a 10 on my 40 cube. I have found that the reefing concepts "enhanced" nem guard does wonders for the MP40. Instead of a straight and narrow flow, it opens it up. It makes the MP40 usable. you can find it on amazon or ebay

Nice, I ended up with two MP10's now and varying the flow between each, but definitely something to look into. Thanks!

Awesome video!

Why is magnesium that high? Did you dose it, or was it from the salt mix?

Both actually. I'm currently using an 80/20 mix of IO Purple / Red Sea Coral Pro. And I was dosing AFR to stay in-line with my alkalinity. But I have since backed off the AFR and now monitoring ALK to around 7.5 to 8.0... All while increasing my daily water change from 1 gallon a day to 2 gallons a day and letting magnesium drop that way.

Added a grow light to the refugium and only took a few days to go from a little ball of chaeto to this... lol

Yeah, it's insane. A few more days the entire cube will be compacted I'm sure. I have the refugium on a reverse light schedule and my pH is highest during the refugium hours lol.

I think the elevated co2 in my room may be further aiding the fast growth.
