Mixed for a while to get some experience. Probably some hardy softies at first. What would you suggest?

Things that move in the current are a great way start and make a mostly empty tank more appealing to watch. I would say a small frogspawn.

Many softies are very nice looking and look absolutely amazing when they get big.
