Hello everyone, How's everyone Sunday going. Well i just picked up a SPS blue Acropora today at my LFS. It looks a bit hurt so i'll have to put in some work on this coral. but for $15 dollars i could not pass this acropora up. I can see some small spots of bleaching or a hiker, I placed this coral in Coral RX for 10 mins and i didnt see anything come off. I'm thinking bleaching is the problem. I have this coral at the bottom of my tank, what is the time i should wait before i start to move this coral up on the rock work and in "high flow/lighting". Thanks

Be patient and watch what it does. It may want more light or more flow. If it hasn't gotten any worse in a couple of days maybe bring up a little

ya i just want to make this thing happy and bring it back from being bad. I cant stand see corals in tanks and watching them melt away.

So a week is coming up on this one coral. It has a nice blue tips but still brownish base going on. I moved the coral up to see if that will change things with more flow. Also can u give acropora to much flow?

Healthy acros can be aclimated to extreemly high flow as long as its not direct or constant enough to blow tissue off of the coral. The more flow the better imo, makes the coral grow out thicker and less skinny branches, which is the way I like it.

I have it right off to the side of a MP10, so i think im good. I'll just have to wait until next week to check this new lighting setup
