So petco just had a really good sell. Just got my bubble tip for 20$ so i'm a bit happy now. Here's what hes doing after his first night in the tank.

Its green bubble tip, but petco does not have the lighting to support it. So i placed it at the bottom of the tank and it started hiding on me. Maybe in a few days it will start moving to a better spot rather than the bottom of the tank.

Make sure you have foam covers over your powerheads. when it starts to roam there's no telling where it'll go. I had one that let go completely and blew across the tank in the current and got sucked tenticle first into the foam cover.

I have a MP10 and i run it without a foam pad, Soon as i bought the little guy and placed it over my PH. Are these guys a High light type or med.

they will walk to a happy place. both light and flow wise. mine were happy in about 150 to 200 par. then I changed my lights and didnt get them set right. one of them went walking. GRRR..

So this morning is day 2 and he is still in the same spot. I saw it getting mad b/c the goby was spitting sand on him last night, while he was trying to build some hills in the tank. I can see some color coming back to him.

Anyone use a MP10+ powerhead with a BTA, if so what setting do you all use.

Changing the powerhead won't do any good. Like pickupman said about his lights...the bta will move to where it finds the best spot for itself. You make a change, he'll make a change. Just let it do it's thing. The one thing you don't want to do it force it to move...it'll just **** it off more. Mine moved up to the top of a rock stack about 4" from the surface right below a light and get almost direct flow from a return nozzle.

I have not messed with him since i placed him in the tank, So maybe he will either move to a better spot or come out more. Also whats the temp on your tanks. Mine stays around 80-81 but i have read ppl saying like 78 79. I feel like that is really cold?

one of mine ended up walking all the way to the top. wow theymove fast when you arent watching them.

Ya i need to set up a cam on my tank, just to watch him move when he does. It has alot of bubbles but have never seen them come all the way out.

Ok. I found that on my 20 inch deep tank I get proper par at 75/45. But you are probably good since you are shallower. I have a lumentek pro 240.

So when is the bubble tip start to move around. Its still in its cave and just closed up right now. I thought they would get use to the tank and then start looking for god lighting and flow?? Ill post a picture in a few minutes.
