I love getting home and finding goodies on my doorstep. This is my first chalice. It's name is Fist Full of Dollars. I just got it acclimated and in the tank. I got it from my buddy Foresteronw, who got the pleasure of naming this particular chalice. Hears some pics 5 minutes after its in the tank.

Sorry my pic skills suck. Taken with my iPhone.

Very nice, and a good size frag. I believe thats a tyree chalice? Anyone know?

It is, Foresteronw sent him some of the mother colony to have it selected as a tyree LE, and he got to name it. It has around 10eyes I'm told. I'm still learning about chalices. I've spent the last 3 years hooked on acros. Thank you. Really looking forward to seeing it after it relaxs.

I'm not sure if I'll frag it for a long time. But if I ever do, I'll shoot you a pm. If you want, pm me and I'll give you his info to get one from him.

Thank you again everyone. I can't stop looking at it everytime I walk by my tank. Lol. Any advise on chalices is welcome.

Low in the tank, mine on are the bottom and i'm running T5's so if you've got more intense light, then the very bottom in the tank, maybe even in the shade a bit. Low flow. Pick a spot and don't move them. Thats how you get the best growth, and spot feeding. Mine eat mysis.

Ok, cool. I'm running all LEDs. I've planned on leaving it on the sand bed for at least a month. I'm still slowly acclimating my LEDs. I'll have to get back into spot feeding. lol. I'd stopped since I over feed anyways. Do they eat pods as well?

Yeah with LED's I'd go as low as possible. They've got sweeper tentacles, so they'll eat whatever gets near to them. There's a pic in the LPS of a chalice eating a hermit crab! Mine are growing really fast on mysis.

lol, I forgot I had a piece of acro, where one had in crusted in to the rock" from my old system. I sit the chalice on the rock which is in the sandbed. It was nice and green with polyps yesterday morning. Tonight it is gone. I'm guessing the chalice or it's sweeper wiped it out, wow. Lol

I think I'm going to get up with either Joeknowsreefs , WT or SexyCorals for a $300 pack when I get my bonus check. And maybe use the rest for an mp40 and a day at the spa for the wife. :)
