I am researching and in the market for my first controller.

Is it possible to control two tanks with one controller if the tanks are close enough to each other?

The question is primarily for the Apex as that is the direction I'm leaning towards so far but it would be a big plus if there is anyone who is achieving this with any manufacturer.

another question along the same lines...
Is there anyone controlling their tank and their RO/DI with the same controller.

I'm looking to get the best value for my purchase. The apex seems to be the most scalable with additional modules

I think you can do that with all of the controllers out there. It just has to do with your programming and how many ports you need vs how many you have for both tanks. I run a Reef Angel and it would be super easy to run two tanks with it.

Yep Apex no problem. A PM1 with probes and a EB8 and you should be set for another tank, shouldn't have to be close. A buddy runs 3 tanks off his the second tank is across his basement from his 400, just need a long aquabus cable (DIY with Cat5)

The Digital Archon can have 3 tanks being controlled by one unit then got another unit for the upstairs tanks
