Well, I just dipped my first coral (zoas) in Coral Rx because the colony had lost some polyps. Wish I had a pic but I can't upload right now for some reason. Some amphipods fell off but I didn't see any nudibranches or other questionables. The other zoas in my tank are fine. This is the colony I've had the longest and it's growing on the edges but a few polyps in the middle just crumbled away. Very weird. Water parameters are all basically good:
Ammonia 0
Nitrates 10
Alk 8
Ca 450
Mg 1250
Temp 78
Sg 1.0255
The zoas didn't seem melt like some people describe. They just disappeared and left a light brown crumbly residue. I'm so sorry I don't have pics. Has this happened to the middle of anyone's colony? This colony easily has 100 polyps. I just can't figure it out.
