My First Cornbred Coral

The most telling images of coral is taken under unforgiving white light. Here are all the pieces I've bought from Cornbred coral shot with no blue light.
Obviously coral is FAR more brilliant at night with ramped up blue and I'll post this tonight. I plan on filling my tank with these kinds of coral... at least that's the plan [emoji4]
... the non-cornbred coral is scratched out.

I just recently made my first purchase from them. I was mostly happy with the transaction but had a couple issues.

First there was a euphyllia that just was not shipped in the first delivery. Second there was a zoa that i purchased that was no were near the same colors and I had pictures of just actinic/ and mixture of all colors. Told them and they said it was in fact the same one but they would look for one that matched more in color. Third one of the euphyllia I received was not in the best shape and was told to give it time but is most likely not going to make it.

Ok so they did send me the missing euphyllia is a second delivery but nothing was sent or said about the zoa issue. Also sent an email last thurs saying the euphyllia is not going to make it with no response yet. I have to say up till that email they responses were almost mediate. Very willing to help and find a resolution up till then. Im hoping the beginning of the week I will hear from them and get those couple issues resolved. I sent pictures all throughout the way.

First pics pic is what I received. Second and third is what I purchased. Fourth pic is the zoa that was should have been the orange and yellow one in the second pic. And last two pics are of the euphyllia progression. I did receive three other euphyllia and they are doing amazing. I just don't like how much they "doctor up" the pics colors. They did give a free chalice frag which is in the first pic on the right.

The only issue I've had lately was with an Anaconda Acan. The first one didn't ship well at all. Rich replaced it, the second one was receeded for over a day and a lot of gray on the main polyp even under blue light. It's now happier, plumped up, coloring up may take awhile. Other coral were really close tonpucs posted which I'm pretty sure is under blues. Radion G4 pro with little whites and blues running look like his pics. His coral does have amazing color if you can bring it out with your lighting.

So I received an email yesterday saying they would take care of the euphyllia that didn't make it and let the owner know about the zoa possibly being replaced with one that looks like the picture. I do have to say so far they seem to want to fix any issues so he customer service is tight. Just really don't like that the pictures are so saturated and are not true in color.

QT tank is running an AI HD since it's only 10g. Setting at UV 20, V 38, RY 59, B68,DR5,CW5, G0. His colors are there, but as you see the white is low, blues and violet are higher. This is the QT tank setting. DT runs Radion G4pro, has 4-5 hrs of white during afternoon, the welso-scoly hybrids look good under either lighting. The acans and acan maxima look better under the ramping up and down and the evening lighting schedule. But the colors are there. You could always ask him them to send you a picture using white lights.

You can't tell me the pic they have is not doctored up.....trust me I have been in the hobby for a long time. It's either enhanced or a different zoa all together. The one I have has zero red or yellow, it is green/ peach. Even under full blue spectrum.

I said the corals I've received gave the colors as posted, under my lighting. Their pictures are taken under blues. Ask for a picture under whites before you purchase. Lighting .

Ok I'm sorry I misunderstood. My issue is that I have the ability to remove all white and only have blue, royal blue, and uv and I had ZERO of the same colors. The other frags I received also where not quite the same color. I do think they photo shop a bit. Either way it is what it is, I'm hoping they can send out the replacement coral soon.

I had an issue with a well known seller, he has now added pictures under whites as well as under the blues.
