Well I went today was going to get a pair of clowns but decided to start with some damsels. Love the color on them and heard there good hearty fish she had some nice clowns at the LFS she drives down and hand picks all the fish about twice a month and I've been there twice now during the time she was feeding and every fish in the place seems to eat great guess I'm lucky to have such a nice place within 15 minutes of me.

Congrats on your first fish. As you add others keep an eye on those damsels. They can be territorial
Ya they seem to already have there place picked out on the back side of the rocks under a ledge I tried to give as many ledges and little cubbies as possible so maybe I won't have as many problems but who ever knows lol

Damsels are indeed a great first fish... Pretty, active, voracious eaters. But... As mentioned above, can be highly territorial. Keep in mind, clowns are also related to damsels, and can be as territorial or worse... Especially Maroons...

Congrats though!!!

let the fun begin. People say damsels are territorial and they are. some are less 'mean' than others. personally I went with the yellowtails as my starters (I read they are the least mean). They seem to get along well with all my other fish. But as mentioned keep and eye on those guys when adding other fish.

Ya these guys were in with some clowns along with some others so let's cross our fingers and hope all comes out good I love the blue on these would hate to have to choose between them and clowns. Going to give them a week or so before adding anything else just to make sure the tank is still doing good. I'll have to take some pictures next time I go beautiful fish there a couple huge tangs that just make you want to go out and buy that 8 foot tank lol

My lfs suggested a yellow coral wrasse and I couldnt be happier. I dont think you would have much issue with something like that. Its easy care and seems to hold its own and unaffraid.
