Well won't let me post pic put how can I get off plug an put on rock ? Plug is an eye sore!!

If its glued to the plug with super glue and has not yet encrusted you could probably just break it off, depending on what kind of coral it is. You could also snap the bottom off the frag plug with side cutters.

It's a polyp I believe wish I could show pic it's on a plastic plug.got it yesterday it opened up this morning so it must like its new home.

how are you planning to attach it to something else once you get it off the plug? if you really want it off and its a soft polyp here is an old trick. get a white bottomed dish so you can find the polyp once removed, put water from your tank into the dish. if the plug has a stem, remove it. hold the plug upside down so the polyp is just below the surface. take an ice cube and hold it to the bottom of the plug it may take more than one cube but it will let go!

I was thinking a little bit of live rock would look a lot better

Here's an old trick, don't remove it. It'll probably hurt it, an angry coral is more of an eye sore than a frag plug. It'll grow over the plug in time.

I typically don't remove frags from the plugs, especially if it's a zoa or paly, if conditions are good it will quickly over grow the plug.

You can use a pruner to trim the plug and leave it on a small piece as a base. Then just glue it to where ever you like.
