Hi Guys,
Hope everyone is coping under the current circumstances and hope you and you family are well! As i mentioned this is my first marine tank and new so try to go easy on me ..........
I really wanted to share my tank with fellow Aquarian-ist's (thats definitely not a word) as tbh non of my friends understand why i love building new setups or my absolute love and passion for the hobby at all. I only started with Tropical fish around 7 months ago and have absolutely fallen head over heals with the hobby and LOVE it! Tbh its even pulled me away for my other passion which is online PC gaming.
I have to say my missus thinks im completely mad as apparently 'fish' is all i talk about. I started off with a Fluval 200 Roma which quickly moved to a roma 240, 'as it was very important to fill the gap in the alcove' and then a month later another 56l in the kitchen. The main tank (roma 240) is heavily planted with great success, although i made many mistakes in the previous tank and learned from them.
The passion built and of course drew me toward Marine........... I never wanted to start with marine due to the complexity, although really loved the look but read that it was more difficult then tropical. In a way starting with torpical and learning to keep the basic parameters and how to control them probably the best choice. Now I know some will think that in only 7 months you cannot build up the knowledge of keeping fish, but ive really found my passion and read/watch videos every day to try and learn the craft.
This tank sits in my office and is really a great addition i feel. Let me know your thoughts!? (ive added a few photos of the room also)
Everything is half setup / tweaking needed over the next few weeks, but your help over the next few weeks no doubt will be useful. The tank has been running for around a week with ATM colony added and a few fish that were given by a friend as they needed re homing and in a little poor state due to other fish attacking them.
Nearly everything was purchased from members here or via locals ads. So im sure you wont be wowed by my equipment list. This was put together on a budget and cost less then £200.
Hope that wasn't to long winded and gives you an idea of where i have come from and my hope is along the way the community can help me get where im hopefully going !!

Evergrow Type Light (blue and multi channels) Suspended from cealing via wire system can be moved higher and lower if required.

Hope ive covered enough for everyone, im absolutely in love with the marine tank and tbh im already thinking about grabbing a sump for the tank downstairs! Consider me tickled!
