Hi everyone,
After much time and reading I have decided to start my first reef. And as there is not many reviews or threads on the new fluval sea m90 I decided to start my own, and also joined R2R to get as much information and help as all of your knowledgable members can provide. I have setup my tank, and started cycling, I will provide pictures (as soon as I figure out how!) all help and suggestions are welcome :) hope to hear from some of you guys soon :)

Coming along nicely! Can you post some stats about the equipment that you are using? I'm not familiar with this tank. Thanks! :)

Hi there, and thanks, I got the rock from maidenhead aquatics @ sanders, in Somerset. The guys there really know there stuff. So hopefully the tank will July get better and better.
The tank is a Fluval Sea reef m-90, 135 liter ( 36 gal) with an integrated compartment at the back for my fluval Sea protein skimmed, fluval m series heater, and circulation pump. And my power head is the fluval Sea c3 I think? It had 15kg of live rock which is settling in well, with plenty of stuff growing already! It's only been set up for 5 Days! I'll keep updates as I go ;)

Hi Alex. I can identify the algae in the first picture is Caulerpa and in the last pic is Halimeda, both are good stuff as they utilise nitrate to grow so when they get too bushy, chopping them down is instant nitrate removal. That is one of the ideas behind refugiums.
Regards,
Mark.
What was that?? Turn my music down?
