Nice. Love your corals. What livestock do you have in there right now? I definitely see a clown. Planning on getting a pair of clowns for mine, and hopefully a watchman goby and pistol shrimp (if I can ever find them here since nobody appears to have any)

3 clowns.
Pink spotted goby.
Pygmy angel.
Flasher wrasse.
Micro regal angel.

I cycle through fish pretty often. Soon as I feel there getting to large for the community I trade them in.

Well, I've hit a hiccup in my first reefing experience. My tank got cycled and I picked up a few snails to help clean what I thought was my first algae bloom. Turns out what I thought was algae though grew more and ended up being bryopsis. Horray lol. Thankfully a fellow reefer here in Canada was able to get me some reef flux fluconazole treatment. Hope it works. Here's a few pics of what it's like now. I just dosed the reef flux so I will update the progress and let you know if it helped. Wish me luck

Bryopsis that successful been treated with fluconazole and is all gone now. Now I just have to decide what fish to get. Thinking of getting 2 clowns, a watchman goby and pistol shrimp and quarantining them while I introduce some coral. Any other livestock suggestions?

Anyone have any recommendations for skimmers that fit the second rear compartment on this tank? I've been looking at different options and find it pretty hard. The again, I may not even need a skimmer for this tank. Any advice?
A Tunze 9001 will fit in the very middle compartment. That is where I had mine in my 30L. I am also selling it right now, I'd give you a good deal lol.

I have the IM Skimmer in mine. Easy set up, Easy to keep clean.
I have a pair of clowns, 2 scissortail dartfsh, Purple firefish, Watchman & pistol shrimp, Small female mandarin and a 2 spot goby. No problems--most of them never even swim to the other side of the tank.
PS I love the 30L!

Wow!!! Your tank is amazing. I aspire to eventually have mine looking like yours. I managed to get a used aquamaxx hob 1.5 type filter but havent fully set it up yet. I tried but it was totally overskimming like crazy since my tank water was dirty because I hadnt changed it at all since using my fluconazole treatment for bryopsis. I did a good water change now, so hope to get this skimmer setup soon. Thanks for the fish recommendations by the way. I've always been worried I couldn't keep too many fish in this size tank.

I'm not sure of the rock type. Some is live rock, and some was dry rock that was probably used in a freshwater aquarium awhile ago, but i got for free and cured it
What sort of rock is that?
It doesn’t look very porous.

Thank You! I’m trying!
You might want to change out those freshwater rocks even though you cured them. Only my opinion ( I’m no expert) but I would probably change them out for either more live rock or rock like the Caribsea rocks I think they will help with the bio in the tank. Also don’t put the rocks against the back wall leave space to clean & for the fish to swim through.

Right now its about 10 pounds of live rock and 18 pounds of the other rocks in there. Theres a bit of space in the back also, tried not to pile them along the back too much. Yeah, I wish I knew what rocks they were. They look kinda like dried coral, not a lot of holes in them but definately have micro pores in them. I wish I had a better pic

Actually I found a pic of the rocks before i put them in. Still dont know the type. Totally new to reefing. They definitely started getting some coralline on them though. My tanks just going through the ugly phase right now

The darker colors rocks in the middle and on the right in my tank are the live rocks I got. One even had purple coraline all over it. But yeah I dont know what the other white rocks are in the pic I uploaded. They look like dried up coral. Previous owner must have used them in a freshwater tanks, but one did have some coloration to it prior to me putting it in my tank

Icecap 1k. Works well and I like, don’t nbeed to run it any higher than 20 to 30% for my tank. They hav e a newer version out now. You can probably still find them though.
