This is my very first saltwater tank attempt. I bought this tank from the local buy and sell in May of 2014
The above picture is the day I brought the tank home.
I reinforced the stand and closed it in. This was a learn as I go process so I had water in the tank with sand and salt but no plumbing done at this point or rock. This is where I learnt the cost of the hobby!
This is a few months down the road I found a guy on the buy and sell shutting down his tank and I picked up his live rock. Starting to look like something now!
Went to the local fish store and purchased my skimmer, return pump, and all other equipment needed. Also finally completed my plumbing not very pretty but it works.
Purchased my first two fish. Sand sifting goby and my very happy foxface
I did some much needed aquascaping and picked up some more fish a few clowns and a blue hippo tang. Also picked up a tuxedo urchin. This was January 17/2015.
Then I started with corals. I had a few zoas at this point and my first anenome. This was February 13th/2015
Did a little more aquascaping picked up a sailfin tang. Also some more corals started out with frags. This was May 12/2015
As you can see all my frags are starting to grow like crazy. Everything in the tank is super happy. This was October 18th/2015
Picked up a couple blue/green chromis and was having an aptasia breakout so bought myself a nice copperband butterfly fish.
I'll take some nice crisp pictures of my current tank tomorrow. Thanks for taking a look at my build any comments, advice anything is much appreciated.
I am currently looking for a show fish one that is a tad bigger then the fish I already have and a bit nicer something that won't eat my corals but catches your eye with super nice colours all suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks guys!
