I've been voraciously reading and learning. I've had a 30g tank setup as a pod farm... it's infested with pods by the tens of thousands... and today I brought home my first pair! It's so exciting!! They went straight to hunting. I never knew just how many pods I had till they started to scatter, but the horses, Lecter & Clarice, seem quite content and showing no signs of stress at all. They were bred locally so they've suffered no transport stress... anyways I'm so excited! Here they are.... I'll post better photos in a bit. These are AWEFUL but u get the idea.

finally got good video!! Those aren't air bubbles... if you watch they change direction. They are pods.

My First Seahorses #04 - YouTube

Looking good!! I actually run open ended airline tubing in my seahorse tank. It helps create a more gentle flow and the seahorses play in the bubbles.

They are so captivating... gonna have to place pillows in front of the tank to sit on! The "secret" to pods is a an empty tank, add a few 16oz bottles of pods, and wait a few months.. lol nothing to predate and time.

I thought I read that air bubbles are bad for them... at least I thought I did. However if I've learned anything here it's take advice with a grain of salt.

Great job!!! They will LOVE having all those pods to snack on. So glad to hear yours were bred locally and not taken from the wild. Welcome to the pony club!!!

So sad that they're being snatched from the oceans... I was thrilled to find locally born/raised. It's amazing the way the are aware of their surroundings. When they entered the tank and went straight to hunting I was sooo relieved. Been wanting them for months but was afraid their tank wasn't ready. and thanks!! THRILLED to be a member!!!

Mine act like happy puppies when I come home... Swimming up to the tank glass to greet me, following me when I walk in front of it. I know it's just cause I feed them when I get home lol but it's still so cute to see. You're gonna love em.

My seahorses, Clarice and Lecter, are doing great this far! Both began solid black and colors are changing rapidly.
