So I finally got a pair of snowflake clowns I've been dying for. Had to convince the hubby that they were worth it, but now he is in love with these guys too.

Nem question: I want to get a BTA for them soon, but I'm also in the process of saving up for better lighting. Will lighting that supports favia, favites, a hammer, duncans, zoas etc support a BTA? Or should I wait until I get my new lights?

Thanks!

The light is a chinese thing I grabbed off of amazon, it's 16 1 watt LEDS, half 12k half royal blue. LPS I currently have are in top 1/2 of the tank and growing like crazy. It's a 20 gallon that's been running in various houses for 3 years. I'll be getting a reef breeders value fixture.

I would say you should wait until you have the new light. If your lps is high up in your tank, most likely your light is not bright enough for a nem.

Hmm, ok. I guess it will all go by when a nice bubble tip hits my LFS! I love how our hobby has so many facets and opinions :-) I didn't think this current light would fit the bill once I moved everything from a 10 gallon into this 20 gallon, but everything is growing like crazy.

The new light will be on the tank probably within two months, and it might be just as long before my fish stores get in anything cool.
