My first sump

Hello! Sorry if I sound like a bit of a dweeb but I am currently building my first sump and I have a question. If the sump baffles are the same height... how does this work in regards of flow etc? I just can’t wrap my head around it haha - Thanks

For baffles they will be the same size but not height. First will go to the bottom, next will be raised an inch to allow water under, last will touch bottom again. So the water goes over, under, over. This acts as a bubble trap.
