Do you have a skimmer yet? What kind of water are you using, tap or Ro/Di?

Looks great, i like the scape!

Thanks, No skimmer yet looking for one and I am using ro water

Looks like your off to a good start, I really like that scape there will be lots of coral mounting places. What are your plans for fish/ coral?

Personally I would suggest throwing out that hydrometer and picking up a refractometer tho.

I am planning on getting a refractometer. As far as coral goes I have a lot to learn before I get any. Right now I have two yellow tail damsels and a clown the lfs said they will take the damsels back if I don't want them not sure which fish I want yet

Thinking about adding a sump and putting it in the basement about 6 ft away before I start getting any coral

Figured I would do a update on my tank since it has been awhile.

Still learning but tank is looking better I have a hob skimmer and running gfo in a reactor have a wrasse, goby & shrimp, and two clowns. I have added a lot of coral can't wait for it to fill in

Like the scape, reminds me I Stonehenge. Make sure your return pump is strong enough to push the water 6 feet for your sump.

I have replaced the 55g with a 75g and have the sump in the basement I am so glad to have the 48x12x21 tank gone was way to narrow

It is funny looking back how I used a fan center and a thermostat to control my heaters you can tell I was an HVAC tech at the time. I do miss having the basement to run a sump this was a rough diy setup

Do you still have the tank?

I moved from Michigan to Florida and could not bring it with me so I gave the coral to my sister inlaw and made a mistake and didn't bring all the live rock with me had about 150lbs now I have to buy more.
