We’ll mystery solved… ugh, I specifically asked and they told me it was a bristle tooth

Yellows preferably should have 100 gal plus if I remember correctly, (@i cant think)
IMHO with their activity you want a 5 foot tank minimum, I’ll never forget seeing a low activity tang zooming around a 4 foot tank. That was a Twin Spot Bristletooth which just swam constantly around the system. He was also incredibly territorial and yellows are honestly one of the worst for territory in their genus (which is viewed as more territorial than the Ctenochaetus genus).

I’ll also never forget a scopas tang murder a CBB it was with for 3-4 years along with most of its other tank mates.

I have a whitetail Bristletooth in a 75g. He definitely runs the tank and can be a bit of a jerk. He’s currently picking on my Solar Wrasse - they’ve been together for over a year, I don’t get it. Like another poster said, they don’t read the rule book.

Thats crazy! My guy has a weird obsession with my wrasse as well! It’s the weirdest thing… he’s not mean to the wrasse but does follow him non stop… almost like he’s got suspicious the wrasse might get out of hand lol.

My Whitetail and Solar had no issues until recently. Funny, I added a one spot Foxface about a year ago. The Tang went after it right away. After the Foxface flashed the poisonous dorsal a few times, the harassment stopped. Now they are buddies, the Foxface follows the Tang everywhere.

I’ve heard the foxfaces can often times be peacekeepers in tank. A fox face is next on my list. I’ve wanted one since I got into this hobby!
