i know it’s cloudy.. i started too add water yesterday. Tomorrow my last batch of saltwater should be done and i’ll start my cycling process using Fritz 900 and Algea Barns nitrocycle.

I asked because I recently got a 110g 4 footer but it's 48x18x 30 and I think it's a older oceanic 1/2 glass. I'm still planning out a aqua scape for such a tall tank. I'm going with a fowlr.

mine is probably closer to 30 to the top of the rim. i really want a mixed reef but being my first time i probably start with LPS dominate tank till i figure out the PAR on the cheap black box from Amazon or upgrade my lights

Nice. I’m thinking of getting my first tank as well. I have always wanted to do a reef tank with critters . Do you have it plumbed? Does it “have “ to be plumbed. I live in a rental and can’t hardline the tank. Should I just not get one?

have i it plumbed to my sump. under the tank for filtration. what do you mean plumbed? if you mean for like an auto water no i don’t have it plumbed for that.

I thought the tank needed to be hard lined into the house plumbing. Thankfully that was not a justified fear.

no i have an RODI system that i use to filter my house water to make pure or low TDS water to use for making Salt water. i use brute trash cans for RODI water and saltwater storage. you can plumb the RODI system but you don’t have to. mine is connected to my sink faucet in my 1/2 bath.
