My first tank! Progress and coral questions

Alright thats what I thought. I have all my mushrooms at the bottom of the tank. The candy cane is currently about half way up the tank. They handle moderate lighting and moderate flow pretty well right?

They can, yes! But moderate flow / lighting is very different to many people. The moderate light areas in my tank might be high light in others for example -- and I run a LOT of flow in my tank as well, so it may be hard to find moderate flow in my tank.

I dosed a bag of pods a couple weeks ago and never saw anything but out of no where today I saw tons of movement all over the rock. Looks like they are reproducing and or growing. I dont think I have any predators for them haha. Hopefully they will do some good for the tank. Will they feed off of whats in there or do they need special feeding?

I went to the LFS looking for something I could put higher in my tank. Most of my stuff seems to not be able to handle the higher light.

Currently I have the green monti....that is now purple lol and a Digitata which I guess is just tan colored. Nothing special but I got it free. They seem to be doing there thing though.

My tank being new im afraid to get into some of the harder ones to quickly and just go on a killing spree but still something higher light as the bottom half of my tank fills stuffed at this point.

So he recommended a piece of Meteor Shower which I believe is an SPS call Cyphaestra or something and a piece he called Cactus coral which looks like a nice green piece of Pavona which also seems to be an SPS.

After some looking around I am a bit worried about the meteor shower. It doesnt seem to be a higher light coral and may not like the top section of my tank. Im also slightly paranoid its going to spread all over the place if it doesnt get killed. Currently I moved it down to the right side of the tank half way up so it gets some light and good flow but not super high light.

What do yall think about the Meteor Shower?

Pavona seems like it will do well up there. Not sure how fast growing it is.

Also update on the Rasta's. Did my second peroxide dip today for 4 min. Also did my first Lugols Dip today for 8 min. Still havent had much luck with them.

New update. Rasta's....Still doing horrible haha. Cactus SPS is doing well it has hairs all over it that sway in the current. Candy cane was shrinking quite a bit but started puffing back up today so thats promising.

My biggest problem now is the Montipora again. I think its hair algae but it has algae growing on it a bit. I read I could give it some more flow to help with that so I directed one of my outputs to blow in its direction. In only 1 day it seems like the algae is actually spreading...
