My first what the heck is this post

Okay guys, I've got these appearing in many locations throughout the portions of the tank that I can't clean and the sump. Not really sure what they may be but I'm leaning towards some sort of tube worm, I hope. They don't show much extension from the body, I admittedly haven't check in the dark yet. Thus far I see no adverse issues with them. Any ideas?

I just got these as well. Pineapple sponges. They're good guys.

Well that's good news! I really have a lot in my sump. I got some peppermint shrimp just in case it might be the start of some aiptasia bloom. I presume they are filter feeders?

Yea, and they consume silicates. So common in younger tanks and fade away like diatoms for the same reason.
