My fish don’t like rods original blend or reef frenzy! They only like the more inexpensive packs that come in cubes....is my fish the only ones???

That would definitely be unique for reef frenzy. I've seen some that reject it for a while but then adapt in a few days.

You are lucky. Reef Frenzy is nice but at $24/8oz at my LFS, it costs too much to feed a 300 gallon full of fish.

I've had fish that prefer pellets over LRS, but eventually begin to like it. I have a moorish idol that eats everything except live black worms.

I am curious. What kind of fish, and what do they do when you feed it?

My collection of wrasse and chalk bass much prefer cubes of brine and other foods to LRS or Rods. My FW fish love LRS though....

They will eat the good stuff, but not with the save vigor. My LFS has also noticed this with smaller fish.

This where I buy LRS from

Niger trigger
Red fin fairy wrasse
Malnouras wrasse
Midus blenny
Da Vinci clown
Sand hopper blenny
Engineer goby (juvenile)
3 striped damsel
Hawk fish

They don’t even acknowledge it...usually when I feed all of them get to the side of the tank where I feed ready for what I give them

That's surprising that as a group they don't even acknowledge it. I've had wrasses, gobies, blennies, and clowns do the same thing with reef frenzy, until they seemingly noticed that other fish in the group were eating it and then they gave it a try. I'm a little surprised about the damsels and the trigger though - go figure!

It took about 3 days to get mine to eat. Then it was on.

Well how many kids don’t like McDonald’s over healthy food I guess huh, lol

Hey if I was you I’d be happy to keep some extra cash in my pocket. I introduced those types of food in my tanks and now they refuse to eat anything but the filet mignon of fish foods. I’m spending a ridiculous amount on fish food every month. Keep your cash while you can!

Mine are the same way. They devour cube brine shrimp vigorously. They’ll eat reef frenzy, but only as a last option.

It's funny that folks think that LRS Reef Frenzy is too expensive but think nothing of the cost of feeding a single cat or dog. A little bit goes a long way with reef frenzy even with a large tank with lots of fish. Is it expensive by fish food standards? Definitely, is it still cheaper than feeding most pets? Definitely.

I love LRS Reef Frenzy and my fish love it. I’ve just notic d I’ve lost a few wrasses due to them not being able to pass the larger pieces of clam. I’ve even tried the nano frenzy option because it’s suppose to be for smaller fish. Even though it’s a more expensive option

They just like kids. Want potato chips and cookies over home cook meals.

Make your own. It's cheeper and just as good. 30-40$ lasts 3 months. Good stuff. My fish go bonkers when I feed.

Hmmm that’s a first. Maybe it wasn’t their favorite haha. In the long run that’s better for you. The cheaper the better!

I never understood why people prefer prepackaged fish food over seafood that can be purchased from the grocery store. My fish love Seafood Blend from Trader Joe's. I also don't have to worry about how it was handled prior to my freezer.
