This is just a fluke but it's not the first time this has happened. I was away for 2 days and tired for another couple of days. I noticed yesterday I had not seen my female blue throat trigger since I got back. She is very shy but does come out a few times during the day and of course during feeding. I just added some fish eggs to the tank which would flush out any hiding fish but no luck 
A 4" or so fish gone without a trace...
No signs of illness, was treated with prazipro back in October when I got her, was acting normal and eating as of last week. Just GONE without a trace. Maybe when I do a water change later in the week I'll at least find a bone.
It is a little concerning to just lose an apparently healthy fish for no reason at all. She never really got comfortable in the tank though. Funny enough in QT she harassed an angel to the point where I had to separate them since she was eating all the food but once in the dt she hid most of the time. The tank is covered but I checked around back in case it was a jumper that found a way out. While upsetting this is not as bad as another time I was away for a few short days my Chevron Tang which I had over 7 years vanished without a trace. He was massive and there was nothing left.
