All of my fish like to hang out on one side of my 75G tank. I have plenty of LR, and the flow is about the same on both sides (Gyre on each end). Lighting is the same everywhere. I started with 2 clowns and a cardinal. When I added a tang and a black cap basslet, they immediately swam to where the clowns and cardinal hung out. It has been about 3 weeks since I added the tang and basslet. Every once in a while, they do go to the other side for a few minutes but then they all hang out on the right side. I have tried feeding them on the other side also, but that has not helped. I even tried changing the flow but I did not keep the flow change for long.

Any ideas on how to get them to move to the middle or at least not stay to one side? Good news is that they all get along real well as one little family. We'll see what happens when I add a new flame angel and Springeri damsel...good get interesting.

I would change the flow completely, they obviously like the flow on the side they hang out in. Really if there healthy and acting normal I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes they get along well. All seem healthy but it’s just the aesthetic thing for me. I think as I add a few more fish things may change.

My fish do the same. 2 Darwin clowns claimed that one side and the rockwork. The chromis hang with them. And now the dispar anthias also hang there, though they will leave to swim the tank, but that is the "coffee house" of the tank. even the cleaner shrimp hangs there. The bangaii usually hides behind the rocks.

Do you feed your fish in the same spot every time you feed?

Yes, I tried feeding on the other side of the tank but no luck . Probably need to be more consistent

Start feeding from the other side where you want them. Switch up the side every once in a while.
