My frags keep falling off my rock

Im using super glue gel right now to put my frags on rocks and it randomly releases / falls to the ground or something.

What should I be trying out or using?

I had luck with the Jurassic Gel from
BRS. I apply a lot of the frag plug or frag itself & then immerse in water, this action then forms an outer layer around the glue. Now based on location, I make sure to burst this outer layer and attach it firmly and hold it in place for 5mins. After this, it stays there even when sails want to mess around, but when I apply enough force it can come off. Hope this helps.

I started using putty for the stubborn frags. works nice

Try using a lot more Super Glue than you would think you would need then push the frag on to the desired Rock location and thenpush on or smooth the glue that's pushes out from the frag plug or frag with your finger they should hold pretty good

Vivid aquariums have some videos.on glueing frags down.
Much easier to watch videos than try to explain..a picture sometimes is worth 10000 words.

I use loctite super glue ultra gel. It works best for me if I put some glue by itself on the rock where I'm going to mount the frag and smear it in a little and let it set a few minutes, then put glue on the frag and attach it to the other glue spot. I did this to a ttach a small fresh frag of green star polyps to the back glass in my tank a couple weeks ago and it held great. Duncan corals been holding for a month or more.

Try the sandwich method.

Super glue gel / reef epoxy / super glue gel

The glue provides the adhesion and the epoxy putty conforms to the shapes.

Works real nice.

again as crabs asked in or out of the water?makes a huge difference when using glue.i do like the "sandwich method"but needs to be in the right situation.

Its usually my base rock im attaching to. So I take the frag out apply the a big glob and put it in the water to make the skin then I push it onto the rock and hold for 30 sec or so. Ill look into some reef putty and Jurassic gel.

Also no turbo snails. not all the frags fall but I have some that I attach to the side of a rock or something and a few of them consistently fall once every couple weeks. Some have been in place for months....
