Just got a frogspawn 3 days ago and it's not doing so well. Around mid day it looks nice but wen I shut the lights of for 5 min it sags and turns a dark color. Is their a reason why?

Well ammonia is a 0ppm nitrite is at 0ppm nitrate is 0ppm PH is 8.1. I have led lights on running at 50 % he is all the way in the top rock. Moderate water flow. I dose my tank with fuel from aqua vitro is a supplement for carbohydrate, vitamin, fatty acid and amino acids. I also dose the tank with calcium have coralline algae growing everywhere. Is a 29g biocube running for 7 months. Tons of cope pods everywhere.

Im having similar problems, I too have a 29 gallon biocube, pretty much exactly the same parameters. I dose calcium from aqua vitro as well as ions, eight four, and vibrance. My frog spawn is at the bottom of the tank getting moderate/low flow. It doesn't look like its in terrible shape or anything, just donest fluff out like its happy.... and i dont know why. I was hoping to find some advice here and saw your page. Figured id chime in.

How do you like fuel by aquavitro? I have thought about getting some but wasn't sure. It would be nice to hear how you like it... Maybe what effects you have seen since using it?

Aquavitro works well. I got a bleached bubble tip anemone about 4 months ago. It got his color back now. Not sure it had something to do with the fuel.

I just came back from my lfs so they can check my water quality. Every thing seemed fine but my salinity was at 1.30 ! My hydrometer was reading 1.25. Most likely it was the salinity increase. I'll give you guys an update after I do the water change

I had good luck with fuel for SPS and LPS but my soft coral had a negative reaction everytime I dosed so I stopped using it.

I lowered my salinity last night. My hydrometer was reading 1.22. I took a water sample to my lfs. And their refractormeter read 1.26. My corals don't look 100% better but I see a difference already. They probably need time. I will be getting a refractormeter this weekend.

He looks 100% better now after lowering my salinity
