My frogspawn now has 2 mouths

Ive only had my reef tank setup for almost 4 months and this was one of the first corals I bought...its exciting to see my corals grow...cant wait for the rest to grow...anyone know how kong before it splits into 2 heads??

No experience with frogspawn splitting, but I've had trumpets that have split in a few days and others take a few weeks once i noticed the other mouth. So i think it just varies.

In my opinion that's the best thing about having a sw tank.

your HAMMER coral is splitting, in a couple weeks you will have 2 heads not just 2 mouths.
when it does split you may end up with a clear bubble connecting them just leave it alone and it will finish splitting on its own

like he said you'll get a bubble when it starts to split apart, may take a few days, may take longer.. I've got a torch that's looked like it's trying to split for over a month now.. meanwhile, my frogspawn tosses out new heads pretty regularly, I don't even notice half the time...

Just for future reference reeferItis frogsspawn will have tips down each strand not just the tips. Here is a pic of mine for comparison.

they are euphillia frogspawn has lots of bumps hammer are smooth with flat tips torches are smooth with round tips hope this helps

But that is a hammer, cause the tips are elongated.
