So i just set up my tank yesterday on the 24th so ill just be droping pictures here. So any comments or suggestions just drop them here thanks!

Look'n good there! You've got some shadowing on the ends there.... have you thought about raising the light up a few inches to combat that or is it apart of the plan?

I plan on rasing it up just not sure what to use to lift it up more. The t5 fixture dosent have any legs so i need to figure something out. Any suggestions?

I don't have much of an engineering mind. Others will have great ideas as to how to accomplish that though and maybe -probably- make it look nice too. #reefsquad

Looks great and a terrific start. Anyway to hang the light from above? Maybe some pictures taken back/away from the tank to give us an idea on what to suggest.

Sorry my bad i thought u put a link down but it was mine sorry still new to this from i only been on it for several weeks. Noob status lol

It's funny, as I thought those looked like bed frames but had no idea that is Star Wars in the background....lol.

Anyway, couple of choices with the details presented. You can hang them from the ceiling. If the tank is against the wall, you could make some "frames" to come up behind the tank and hang over the tank. A lot of folks use painted conduit as an example. Or fashion some mounts coming out of the wall that you can hang the lights from.

I would like to do it against a wall but behind the tank is a big window. And from the celing i check for studs to screw into and my stud finder couldnt find anything and i dont want to risk it falling.

Do you by chance know how heavy the fixture is? And is there an attic above you have access to?

Sadly i live in apartment. And i wanna say no more then 10lbs
