He’s a bit lacking in his polyps opening.
Here’s what’s in my tank:
2 ocelaris
Long nose hawkfish
Hippo tang
Diamond goby
Molly miller blenny
Random butt crab who doesn’t move
Skunk and coral banded shrimp
Purple short spine pincushion urchin

I also believe that it could be my water parameter, as the test strip showed my record low water hardness and low carbonate levels. Could it be because I just added these two sps (I think they are sps)? I heard they can suck all my nutrients dry in like a day. I also don’t know what the red sps is, it’s all gifted from a buddy. Thanks!

Funnily enough while I was typing this the GSP started opening a little, but maybe it’s because I added some seachem reef plus and reef complete.

They take Time out, I’ve had mine closed for a week at a time. I have other Corals that do the same. One of my Leather Mushrooms will have full Polyp Extension, the other will be tightly closed.

That looks like some sort of montipora.

In my experience, there are a ton of reasons why GSP close up. Water temp, incorrect salinity, high nitrates, high phosphates, too much light, not enough light, or sometimes they just close up for a few days for seemingly no reason. It is also my experience that GSP tend to be much more resilient than most SPS corals and can live through some pretty adverse conditions.

I think the reefing community largely agrees that GSP are a very good starter coral because of that resiliency...although they can QUICKLY get out of control in a tank and spread to unwanted places if not properly scaped.

Post some more information about your tank age, water parameters, lighting, etc.
