My hammer coral tissue is randomly receding

hello! I’ve had this hammer coral for a year now, it has split many times and growing new heads. All of my other corals are doing fine. But for the past two weeks I’ve noticed the brown/red tissue around the Skelton is moving up, leaving white areas behind. It’s happening on every stem. But my params are good . I’ve noticed these purple tube things all over my rocks and corals. Could that be contributing to the tissue receding?

It’s just the hammer building it’s skeleton which is a good thing. Think of it kind like a trees new growth is green and then turns into brown bark. The purple things are just harness filter feeders.

Although part of growth, assure they are getting moderate water flow, moderate lighting heavy in blue and Do feed them 2X per week. Salinity range of 1.05-1.027

I was concerned because the tissue used to cover the white areas. I did have low calcium before for a week but I changed water last weekend

With any colonies of euphylia that I have ever kept the tissue from the polyp only extends part way down from the head toward the base of the skeleton. On the euphylia in your pictures they are small enough that the tissue would have extended all the way to the end of the skeleton, but as it grows out, the polyp tissue only covers a portion of the skeleton. As others said your hammers look healthy.
If you ever see that the tissue is actually receding up the skeleton toward the head and you see some brownish looking substance on the recession line, then you would likely have an issue to address.
