I need some help I got 6 heads of hammers and 4 heads of torch’s that are not doing well they all still have their colors and what not but they are not coming out 2 of my hammers always have their mouths open for about a week now. I’ve tested everything and had cake out good I’ve changed the water changed the flow messed with the lighting thinking the lights may be to bright just confused ‍♂️

Well, what are your readings? What lights, how bigs the tank, what’s the flow (gph)?

cal is 420 alk is 10. Those are the two main ones my flow I have a sump with 2 wave makers as well. On a 55 gal. Lights are 220 watts. Lights are off I’ll take some pictures in the morning

Could be lots of things. I’d start by checking your No3 and Po4. If these numbers are bottomed out I’d correct them. A while back I noticed my torches weren’t opening fully like they should. Sure enough, my nutrients had bottomed out. Corrected the issue and problem solved. Not over night, but after a couple of weeks of dosing nitrate and phosphate they were back to normal. LPS like more nutrient rich water. Could be lights, flow, etc..

mall my levels are perfect the only thing I’m thinking is the lights are way to bright or too much flow I have my sump and 2 wave makers I have a 110 gal upstairs witch is doing amazing this is a 55 gal just put these corals in last week now my hammers a couple days ago so it also could be just because they are new as well I’ll take pictures today

The problem with the “my levels are perfect” statement is that everyone’s “perfect” is different. Mine is 10 nitrate and 40 ppb phos. Someone else’s tank might run perfectly at higher or lower levels. It’s hard to help when we don’t know.
