My hermit crab stays in one spot

he stays in one corner (alive confirmed) even though he molted recently, he had been staying here a while before. I'm not sure if they like hiding but every other hermit crab I've had was always out and about. It has algae and shelter but he'll never leave.

I think sometimes they get into a shell that is to big for them and can't move around very well.

Mine are mostly nocturnal. They tend to just hang out in a pile durring the day
