My inverts are dying one by one... please help.

After viewing this post, I think I might have similar issue in the past few days:

Similar symptoms:
1. I am also fighting GHA, and I've been dosing NOPOX in the last few days (6ml daily). But I don't think I have dino at the moment.
2. There are tiny white things on the GHA, very sure they are not bubble, I always think they are pods, but not sure. Any input would be appreciate.
3. I lost one Astraea snail first, after a couple of days, a tuxedo urchin. Another Astraea snail just fell off on the sand this morning, but it is still moving after I turned it, so not sure if it is dying or just fell. But right before my first Astraea died, it just kept falling from the rock.

My tank is 255L and about 8 months old now and water parameters are stable:
Salifert:
PO4: colorless
NO3: 5
ALK: 8.7
CAL: 460
MAG: 1400

I have been wondering the following:
If it is copper or unstable water parameters, wouldn't my coral be the first to react? But my LPS and SPS are doing fine.
My other invert, trochus snail, anemone, Stromb snail, Nassarius snail are doing fine so far.

My tuxedo urchin has a tiny hole (anus) opened up on the top of its shell when it died, was it attached by a fish or other snails?

Hi @Blake423 , sounds very similar to my broblems as well..
- my corals mainly lps and softies were not impacted (at least from what i can see)
- in my case the first hit was towards mexican turbo and turbo snails... a few of them died first.. followed by ninja starts, nassarius snails and a fire urchin.
- i also have a lot of white spots on the GHA strands so very curious to fond out what they are? @Sleeping Giant mentioned that they could be snail eggs... i am hoping to see some hatching soon.

Hi @Blake423 , sounds very similar to my broblems as well..

Do you run refugium? How is it doing?
Because I run refugium and have chaeto in it, but not doing very good I think the chaeto are dying.

Yes, my refugem is doing fine.. can see chaeto growing... need to harvest soon.

Have you done an ICP test to show contaminants in your water? Get your RODI checked also.

You could run some cuprasorb in your sump while waiting for ICP. It removes heavy metal contaminants like copper.

Thanks, I had dino a few months ago.. the GHA started appearing after the dino are cleared.

We had 2 turbos for about 8 months, then added 4 more smaller ones who all died within 1 week, now the orinagsl 2 have died. We also are having what we thought was a green hair algae outbreak. What are dinos? I will have to look that up.

I am still hoping to find out what really happened to my inverts.

As far as i know (based on readings only), dino is only one of the bacterias that could spread fast, over take your tank quickly and will kill the corals if uncontrolled. Here is a pic..

But it will be worth knowing that there are other types of bacterias (like cyano, etc.) that could have equally devastating effect if not controlled.
