My Lightning Maroon and Gold Nugget Pair

I wanted to share my newest pair. They get along pretty well. Does anybody have a pair similar to mine?

Will they breed in a comunity tank with out much of a problem with fish eating them?

I'm probably in the minority but to me a natural maroon is the best looking. I know designer clowns are the rage but I prefer old school.

The lightning is a natural wild caught fish as are white stripe n Morse codes. They come from a different regions then the golds do. So the crossing of them will result in a unnatural fish. So I personally don't consider the lightning a designer as we didn't alter what nature already has provided. We have a lightning and a Morse code both.

They are about 2.5 inches and have been together about 1 year.

That is amazing I would feel wrong taking one without paying. I sincerely appreciate it and it is because of stuff like that that has made doing it worth it when you know there's still good people out there

I see the Gold nugget is showing some gold on its body,at what size did you see the gold starting?i just received a pair of gold nuggets a week ago.I have yet to see any pics of a gold Nugget in full color yet.How about you?

I haven't either. She started to show gold at about 2 inches. I have heard that the gold coloring intensifies when they host.

I had a young pair or lightnings and a young pair of nuggets and lost one of each so now I'm attempting to pair the 2 remaining.
