My little acro garden is complete

Finally got my little garden finished. Super proud cause it’s exactly how I envisioned it. Got from left to right ASD Rainbow Mille baby, Bonzai with Acro crab, CR Hairy green monster, random red Mille and my pride and joy and latest purchase is a super chunky WD, and I also have a FF Montie playing the part of a weed in my Arco’s! Awesome weed though

Sweet I hope mine grows fast too! I got such a good deal on it I was able to tell my wife exactly how much I spent on it! It was worth the wait

Last year I would of killed to be able to grow a digita so well I have to trim it back! I think the biggest thing that helped was adding a doser for Alk and cal. Everything is rock solid and the tank Is really happy. I don’t like automated things mostly because I like getting in there and doing stuff but the doser has made it easy to balance my chemistry. Can’t beat the price of these guys too

Remove digitata before it runs over all your incredible sps.


In a well stablished sps tank Montiporas grow faster than any other and can kill by contact or by saturation growing parallel to the other corals and eliminating part of the flow or light that need

I woke up this morning and heard my kamoer dosing continuously running and discovered it had added over 750 ml of alk. I quickly ripped out as much sps as I could and placed them in my frag tank. I know they were exposed to the alk spike for less than 6 hours, but I’m guessing the alk is at...

Side note. You may want to invest in a different doser. My x1 decided to turn on and not turn off a couple weeks ago and added a full alk reservoir while I was asleep.

Yea I know I read that and it kinda made me nervous. I have been using the Alk one for a little bit now so far so good. Every week just to be sure I kinda flush the head and recalibrate it and with my little vos bottle I never keep over 100 ml in at a time but 100 ml would still hammer my tank. I guess it’s the risk we take to be a little lazy

That’s going to get old real quick. Have you looked into lab grade metering pumps? That’s what I plan on doing.
