No it really is little lol. Coralife 14g biocube with stock hob filter, 240ghp koralia powerhead, 75watt heater, 13lbs of live rock, and the only livestock at the moment are these two adorable true perculas that I just added 4hrs ago. Tank is 6wks and 2 days.

P.S - sorry for the crappy phone pics, my dslr is broken and needs new lens.

It's got potential. How long has it been running? I'd recommend maybe cutting the light schedule back until you get corals in there(if you intend on having coral). That way it will help cut down algae growth while the tank progresses. Just a thought. Either way, it looks nice! I look forward to watching the tank progress. :D

Almost 7wks, I've left the main 10k white lights on for 6-8hrs and the actinic for 1-2 mainly bc i want to get diatoms out and over with... I'm going to add corals in 2-3 months so expect to see zoas, duncans, montipora, scolys, and more! In a week i'm adding a shrimp and some snails(should've gotten it first but I don't think it makes a difference).

Thanks for the advice though I'll cut down the light schedule the diatoms seem to be blooming steadily.

And thank you! I can't wait to see how it'll turn out by the end of the year, I'm taking it really slow my nitrates are only 10 but i plan to get them to a steady 0 before adding any kind of coral.

Yeah, I just don't want to see you have to start battling hair algae on the LR. Just lookin' out for ya. No worries. Looks good though. You have a follower. :D

No problem, thank you. The clowns have already started eating and make me laugh while doing it, the little one puts flakes in his mouth to crush them and as soon as he spits them out to get at em the big one snatches it from him. Some strange behavior too like shaking their bodies(i'm not talking about wagging their tails more like jittery shaking...) But i'm sure they'll be ok.

That's a good sign. Usually it is the Male(Smaller) that does the "Shaking". It is almost a way of him saying "I give up to your Dominance". That is a good sign. Eventually you may get a mating pair out of them. Not always though. But they will at least pair off if all goes accordingly. :D

I love clownfish. I have had many in my time. I bred them for about 2 years. Than I had to move. Now I just have one Black ice clownfish. :D

As soon as get my savings back up, I will be back into breeding them. I bought a house so it really drained my savings account. :D

Ah, ok so it's like a little dance. I made sure to get a small and big one and the difference is bigger in person, we'll see where it goes I really want to create the best environment for them they were in a 5gal where I bought them. I really want an anemone too but you know tank age, light restrictions etc etc

Yeah you can easily start a business just breeding these little guys, I almost bought a pair of Wisconsin whites but they were all grown up.

Yeah, The little one can still come back and change the stats. It isn't unheard of. Getting a smaller one is a good idea though. Usually, that assures that any aggressive will stop quicker because the smaller one will eventually give in sooner(No always). Sometimes they just keep fighting until one dies. It's a safe bet to go with one smaller & one bigger. Good catch!

I'm not after it because of the money(Believe it or not). I just enjoy it. My fish are like my kids. Especially the little babies. :D

Hmm it seems like it's bigger one doing most of the shaking. Right now they're swimming vertically on the back wall and the big one will get close and shake and the little one will just carry on swimming.

About the feeding habits, i have some omega-3 flakes and i bought some mysis but the lfs employee was telling me how the little one will have a difficult time eating it... and I plan on feeding every other day alternating between the 2 foods.

They will both do it back an forth to each other... It is very common. When I said it is usually the smaller one doing it, I didn't mean all the time. My apologies.

As for feeding, Alternating would be a good idea. Variety will help mimic the wild. Remember, They are Omnivores. So, Be sure to feed meaty things as well as some Seaweed leaf or something similar.

I shouldn't experience any problems with the little guy eating mysis?

The bigger(or possibly the female) is a jerk LOL, not letting the little guy have his share.

I too at times experience the same thing. A trick to sometimes help fix that is feed in 2 separate sections. I use 2 syringes, I squirt a little out of both that way while the bigger clown eats her share, he has a chance to get some himself. Plus, A good idea is get as close to them as they will let you to feed them. Some clowns find their "Happy Place" & won't venture far from that spot. So, Food could be floating right by them. They'll see it but it's out of their comfort zone so wont go for it.

I would start with Vitamin enriched Brine Shrimp. Maybe even mix in some Mysis in the same mix as the Brine. Mine, don't always go after mysis. But LOVE brine. I've had some that are Visa-Versa! Each experience different results.
