Building glass tanks either with float glass or low iron tanks have become fairly easy for me and relaxing. I think I enjoy the build as much as keeping critters. :)

Acrylic was tough, but fun. I have built 3 from black, blue and clear acrylic.

So I built a small 3g out of acrylic which was pretty basic. After that, I built a small 25 acrylic with an outer coast to coast out of acrylic (all of which I have pics of in Photobucket and hard to retrieve but will make an attempt soon.

I'm missing some of the pics of the 3rd one I built for my daughter to put in her office ~3 months ago. It took some planning but turned out nice.

8gwith a hidden 4g sump, closed loop with 3 returns.

Yes, sir. Small but clean. I enjoyed it and am progressing with my acrylic builds. You should see my first two. haha

EDIT: Thank you for the 'Build' ribbon revhtree! I really love this forum you own and truly wish to become a member you can count on. Thanks for allowing me to be part of the family here.

Very cool. I cannot ever recall seeing a triangle tank. Especially cool that you did the point forward. Really impressive.

Thank you, good sir. I thought it might be a challenge including the small hidden sump below it and it was for sure. It turned out so cool though. The B&W combo was my 24-year-old daughters choice. I've never been able to tell any of my 4 children no. ugh.

HEll yeah I have been thinking of trying my habd at small tank building...the problem is if I build it I gotta use it. we set a 2 tank limit in the house or I would have tank every where...

I know what you mean. The most I had at once time was 12. I had all the parameters in all the tanks equal which was a heck of a task but if I ever needed to swap critters around I never had to worry about the acclimation.

I think the most difficult period was running a 300g a 120g a 125g a 93g cube at once. The maintenance day was ~11 or 12 hours for the 4 which didn't include 45g cube a couple of 29g BioCubes and a 25g acrylic cube. ugh Kinda took some of the fun out of it.

I'm too old to do that kind of stuff anymore. lol
