Hey y’all,
Before I say anything, thank to anyone who will reply to my thread.
ANYWAY, after several months, the dry rock in a reef tank should turn purple and become live. The live rock that I’ve already had in my tank, the purple color has turned white. I don’t know if this is bleaching of sort but my parameters are fine, and my 3 coral frags are doing just fine and thriving. What is happening?

Coraline will bleach is your alk drops. Could still fine for the corals you have but to low for the coraline. This started to happen to me and I dosed Brightwell 8.3 and brought my Alk and PH up. Coraline recovered. I now dose 2 part and Mg. All is well now.

Perhaps the purple was a slime algae as part of cycling process. It died and now is showing white again. If you r using white rock it will take a while to get coralline algea.

Tip, if possible, snap a few photos and post to help us put a visual on the problem you are describing. @Wrath has a good point about Alk. Have you tested that lately and with what kit? @Silverfish also raises a good question about cycling progress. Granted you mentioned several months has your timeline but that is a bit loose to go on.
