My LTA died

Well after my clowns started to host in my LTA if has died in me. Not sure why? Everything else in the tank is doing well. No changes it was in there about 3 weeks clowns just started to host about 4-5 days ago. It moved and turned up side down one day and was dead the next?

sounds about right for an anenome. Since I don't know anything about your tank, fill me in on the basics.

Tank size?
How long has it been running?
Salinity?
Lighting?

I'd love to have a new LTA myself. That was my first anemone but I didn't quite have the lighting for it nor was the tank old enough.

Tank is about 3 years old. I moved it a few months ago. Kept all water and always use RO/DI water. Sal is 25 everything else looks good inc a green BTA that was right beside the LTA.

I've heard sometimes the clowns just host (pester) them to death.

Anemones fight. Your BTA may have stung your LTA. Also from the pic, your LTA looks extremely bleached.

Your tank sounds like it should be great for a LTA. I actually think that Anemones are a hit or miss thing. This one might have chose death before you even put it in your tank. To be honest, I can recall dozens of BTA in peoples tanks but I can't recall any LTAs successfully kept by anyone. I always thought it was just because people didn't like them though.

Sorry to hear about the lta,I don't know if the bta had anything to do with the lta has far as stinging it/causeing the death of it. I never kept the two together in the same tank.I have kept a lta for over a year until it got to big for my tank.When opened all the way it was around 16'' across.I agree with others the anemone is bleached,but a bleached anemone can recover.

It was that same color when I bought it from AC. They had 4 or so and I bought the biggest one. It stinks, I hate when something dies and it was so pretty.
