Yes this was my most prized SPS collection which died last summer due to several reasons ...

Very hot summer spell, A/C unit died & stupidly no Chiller unit (a must have if you own SPS)

FRAGSSHORTCAKE006.jpg

It's a close cousin of the Strawberry Shortcake and this baby had bright Red polyps with a more prominent Green base. There's only one other buddy who has another of the same colony and I'm waiting patiently for a piece of this multi-colored SPS specimen from him.

I missed my Baby ...!!

Paul

Man I can see why you miss it, beautiful. Get me a frag and I will grow it out and cut you a huge peice

Bill .... I wished I could offer frag altho' it would seem impossible from this North continent of Canuckland ...

I'm waiting for one myself and hoping to score on a new colony. The weird thing is when this specimen arrived it looked almost the same as the Strawberry Shortcake and nobody in this whole wide world owns this fine specimen except formerly myself and the other local reefer.

Paul;

In fact I lost my entire SPS collection last summer and now slowly clawing back ... it's really tough and the strong urge to buy colonies is very tempting. I'm grabbing frags to make sure the water system is fine for me to start collecting wild colonies again! It's very disheartening to see them all turned white skeletal remains and sadly that's what I have ... ornaments on top of my chiller unit.

Paul

That is beautiful, sorry you lost it. Your buddy should defintely frag it to several people just in case something happens to his...

My buddy is one of the "silent reefer" who doesn't like to flaunt his collections publicly and he's got some serious chalices collection too!!!

Hey Paul,

I go to Canada all the time , I have a race car up in waterloo

Bill,

My workplace is like 30 to 45 minutes away from Waterloo and located on Hwy 401 & Mississauga Road ... closer to the toll highway 407.

Call me up and maybe I can show you around the LFS closeby.

Paul

Wow that is awsome!

Maybe you could take pics of his corals? lol

The only time I see him is when we accidentally "collide" at the LFS ... funny huh? And yeah we'd chit chat and keep ourselves updated with the hobby and surprisingly we haven't seen each others collection yet ... :nerd: as if Toronto is that big ... ha hah!!

He's a busy man.

Paul

Honestly Paul...I can't see the difference between this and and a SSC...looks the same to me ...species and all.

Did you take that pic?

That was the only picture from the LFS ... I never got a chance to snap a close up picture of it. That picture was a little too warm I'd have to admit but the polyps were really intense Red.
