My Most Sought After Fish... Yours?

I go to my friend Austin at AP Frags in Boca primarily, he’s always got good deals and awesome pieces. Other than that, I go to Barrier Reef, Aquarium King, Blue Seas Aquariums, and occasionally Professional Fish Keepers, but unfortunately I got contaminated water from there once and it was pretty disastrous to my system, but I get dry goods there because it’s got a huge selection. Sometimes I go down to Strictly Fish.

Fench Angel and Queen Angel.

I'm new to the hobby, but I've been diving for years. I've spent hours of bottom time sitting and watching the Frenchies in dart around the reefs in FL. I'd like to have a large enough tank for them one day, but starting with a Reefer 350 kind of limits the fish list a bit.

Where in Florida do you dive?
I go diving to the Copenhagen Wreck, Pompano Reefs, Deerfield Reefs, Sombrero Lighthouse in Marathon, and other random reefs in the keys. There is also this new underwater artificial reef that was sunk maybe 5-6 years ago off of Pompano Beach. It a sort of underwater museum, really interesting. I've been once and the currents were insane, I could barely pull myself down to the wreck, its about 110 feet down.

I’m up in central Fl. Not much diving this way, but I grew up in Tavernier. Got the wife PADI certified in west palm, and was AMAZED at the current.

These days we don’t go much, but we make them count. Did Stuart’s Cove shark trip in july, and 3 full days around the Bahamas. In fact, that was the reason for getting into the hobby!

Miss the old keys spots dearly. I’ll have to look up your Pompano spot.

My fish list for the 93 cube is simple.

3 barred dart gobies
2 Wyoming white clowns
1 kole tang
1 canary blenny
3-5 azure damsels

All attainable without killing the bank account and all pretty much peaceful with the azures being the closest to aggressive.

My LFS "Professional Fish Keepers" always has one of these in stock. I've always thought they are beautiful, but get massive!

Their price varies from source to source and your connection with the fish suppliers.
I was offered 8K for one with some head aberration. Or 5K for moderate head aberration. I was told it'll heal with good diet and time. That was the risk that shunted me from getting it.
I think they're in the teens K fish if you can find them.

I just want a pair of black storm clown with a few different color bubble tip anemones in a small nano tank, lol.

Red Dragonnet and Green spotted Mandarin. Gonna have both of these bad boys by the years end, hopefully!

If budget is a consideration, I'd have the Passer, if they are just not the brutes that they are, they'd be in the tank, also the Chrysurus, if they are not just as hard to come by (I'll have them when given the chance). If I have unlimited cash and a huge space, well there's the Clarion Angelfish, Peppermint Angelfish, a pair of masked angelfish (G. personatus), Conspicuous Angelfish, Tricolor Tang, a golden puffer pair and a huge tank to house them all.

But, I think what I seek after most now is cash for buying LS.

I'd have to go with the infamous Japanese Dragon Eel. Nothing else is quite as fearsome yet fascinating at the same time.

My buddy at one of the LFS has one he got for free from someone breaking down his tank (lucky huh?) and it's a beauty! Too bad they're worth 800-2000$ depending on where you get yours from. If it were like 200$ then I'd totally get one!

I’m a simple man that prefers captive bred fish. So for me it’s a CB blue tang.

Also, i’ve seen two blue spotted jawfish in a local SF store in the last 18 months.

Yeah.....the size and non-reef safe will always prevent me from having one....or any of the large angels for that matter Always has been one of my favorite fish.
